Students who are unable to pay for college can enter the US Bank scholarship contest for a chance to win $20,000
When you think bank, images of you giving money rather than receiving conjure up in your mind. But what if we told you that banks could help you pay for a degree at accredited schools online or offline?
Yes, there’s a way to get free money from a bank to help pay for your college expenses? And no, it doesn’t involve you wearing a mask and waving a gun at people. Such a thing as bank-sponsored scholarships do exist. Major banking institutions across the glove offer scholarships to students to help them pay for their educational costs, including tuition, room and board. So banks, might end up becoming your sponsor for college. All you need to do is be a student of degree programs.
Accredited schools online or offline usually offer scholarships of their own to students who need help paying for their degree programs, but it wouldn’t hurt to seek for scholarship opportunities somewhere else too. Like with your local bank.
Sound too good to be true? Well it’s not. Listen to this. The US Bank is looking to award a $20,000 grant under the Financial Genius Scholarship program. Additional prizes worth $5,000 and $1,000 will also be available. Six such awards are handed out to students annually.
In order to apply you need to be a graduating high school senior or college freshmen or sophomore or junior. If you haven’t enrolled in college yet, you at least have to have plans to jump on board with a full-time two-or four-year college or university.
What else do you have to do to become eligible? You’ll need to submit a 3 x 5-inch card featuring your full name, complete home address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, age and the college you have enrolled with or will be.
The US Bank has a strict requirement here – you will need to send the card by US mail in a sealed envelope no larger than 9 1/2” x 4 1/4”. You’ll also be allowed to submit more entries in order to get more chances to win the grand prize.
To do so you will have to complete the eight educational modules located on the atwork.everfi.net website. Don’t worry, each module won’t take you more than 15 minutes to complete, so if you’re really committed to the idea of winning this grant, you should do your best and complete all eight.
You have until October 27 to apply for this scholarship, so there’s plenty of time for you to get started tackling the modules right now. This will ensure you get the best chance at winning the grant offered by the US Bank.
The banking institution is pretty generous, given that most scholarships for college don’t exceed $5,000. But by winning this one, you’ll enter the possession of $20,000 which is a pretty hefty sum that will cover at least part of your degree.
